Church Ministry

The Food Pantry is usually open on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall(address on Contact page).  Individuals are provided with fresh and canned vegetables, frozen and canned meat, cereal and bread.  Persons needing assistance should bring identification with them.

Sunday School is a wonderful opportunity for children and adults to learn about the Bible in an interactive learning atmosphere.  Every Sunday, 9:45am in the Fellowship Hall.  Contact:  Dayatra Brown

Sunday Morning Worship offer all worshippers the opportunity to experience Christ’s presence through song, Children’s message, praise, and witness.  Worship is designed to engage children of all ages and participation in encouraged.   
Vacation Bible School offers opportunities for young boys and girls, teens, adults and seniors to grow in faith through interactive, inter-generational learning.  Persons are needed in various areas from cooking and teaching to craftmaking.Contact:  Kimberley Houff 

Women's Ministry meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

The Harry Hosier United Methodist Men (UMM) meets the second Saturday of each month , 9:00am in the Fellowship Hall for a time of fellowship, bible study, and ministry.  All men are welcome.  Questions:  Contact Harry Miller, Jr.  

United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  Every 3rd Tuesday, Fellowship Hall @ 7 p.m.  Women with a passion for global missions welcome and needed.   

 Children's Ministry

It’s Vacation Bible School time again!!  A lot of work is already being done to prepare to share the Love of Christ with our local children, adults and their families. The theme this year will be: 
 Workshop of Wonders: Imagine & Build with God”
The Kick-Off with Pre-Registration will be held on Saturday, June 7th from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, with VBS the following week, June 16-20, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each evening. Lots of exciting things going on! For more information, contact Mrs. Edna Cummings.

Acolytes bring in the light and send forth the light of Christ every Sunday morning.   Builds confidence and responsibility in children.  Grades 1-6.
Acolyte Coordinator:  Wanda Jimmison
  Children’s Choir sings every 2nd Sunday.  Rehearsals are every 1st and 4th Wednesday, 6:30-8:00pm.  This ministry offers basic music skills Ages 5-12.  Persons are needed for adult supervision during rehearsal.Contact:  Barbara A. Melvin

Easter Egg Hunt brings children together from the community and church to celebrate our Risen Savior.  The Hunt is held Easter Monday in the afternoon and included food, games, and Christian fellowship for all.  Persons are needed for planned activities.  Contact :  Janet McIver

Gone Fishin’ gives children and families the opportunity to learn basic fishing skills and skills for life in a safe and friendly environment.  People can learn how to bait & cast the rod, teamwork and the importance of caring for God’s creation and all God’s creatures.  Fall & Spring offerings.  Persons are needed for adult supervision.
